Terms of use
The rules for using this website, sending proposals and paying review fees.
Acceptance
By using this website, sending a proposal or paying a review fee, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use this website or send us a proposal.
About these terms
These terms apply to your use of this website and to proposals and review fees you send us. "We" means Newson Cairn; our details are in the legal notice.
Use of this website
You may use this website for information about us. Do not copy or republish its content without our written permission, or try to access areas that are not public.
Who may submit
Proposals are accepted only from businesses and their representatives acting in a business capacity, not from consumers.
Proposals
By sending a proposal you confirm that you may share it with us and that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
We treat proposals as confidential and use them only to assess the opportunity, including with the AI tools and service providers described in our privacy notice. We do not sign confidentiality agreements at this stage, and we may already know of, or invest in, similar businesses.
Review fees
The review fee is €250 for the Early stage programme and €1,200 for the Direct investment programme. It is paid by card through a secure Stripe payment link that we send by email. Fees are in euros; no VAT, IVA or other sales tax is charged.
The fee pays for the review and a written decision with reasons, within 7 days (Early stage) or 21 days (Direct investment) of payment. It does not buy a positive decision, and paying it creates no obligation on us to invest.
Refunds
If we decide not to start a review after you have paid, we refund the fee in full to the card you used. Once the review has started, the fee is not refundable.
Our decision
We decide at our discretion. Any investment depends on our own checks and on signed legal agreements.
Liability
We take care over this website but give no warranty that it is complete, current or free of errors. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of this website, and our total liability in connection with a review is limited to the review fee you paid.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Bermuda, and the courts of Bermuda have exclusive jurisdiction.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version on this website on the day you send a proposal or pay a fee applies.
